About Slate

The platform

Slate is a quiet board and calendar for people who ship work. Cards, lists and a calendar live on one page, hosted on your own domain, with no accounts to create elsewhere, no tracking and no subscription. The interface stays neutral and the work you attach supplies the colour.

It takes Trello's flexibility and Planka's self-hosting and builds the calendar in. A card with a due date is already on the calendar, so there is no second tool and nothing to sync.

It is made for a solo creative, or a small studio of two to five, running client projects. Each client project is a board, and each deadline sits on the calendar next to the work it belongs to.

What is inside

Boards with lists and cards, checklists, labels, comments and attachments. A month, week and agenda calendar with events, reminders by email and a feed you can subscribe to from other calendars. Read-only share links for clients, an availability page, templates for common project types, import from Trello, Planka and Slate, export of everything you own, and an API with webhooks.
